Invasion from Above

Sirens wailed, and police jetted hovercrafts whirled around our neighborhood. Despite waiting three hours, we received no text or call from the teens. We were frantic and too scared to venture outside the house. Bullhorns blared from military police, with emergency alerts on our wristbands warning residents to stay indoors. The sound of the busy signal greeted us each time we tried calling our neighbors.

At midnight, Jaren called to tell us they were okay. He informed us he had called earlier but received a network busy message.

Relief enveloped me as I listened to their voices, confirming their well-being. Tears slipped over my cheeks, and I let out a sigh as I thanked God for saving our children.

We headed to our bedroom when another sonic boom shook the house. We ran to the living room window. There, we saw the mothership hover and then vanish. My wristband buzzed. I took a deep breath and answered.

“Hey, Carmen, it’s Becky.” I waited for a second as I glanced in Noah’s direction while he scanned the grounds.

“Did you notice the spaceships?”

As we venture further into space exploration, I believe we will encounter beings—aliens—that humanity is neither prepared to define nor understand. Carmen and Noah once had a terrifying encounter with a spaceship. Their children were nearby, and for hours, the parents were filled with concern and worry. Fortunately, a phone call helped ease their fears, only for Becky to later ask whether they had seen the spaceship.

The Bible speaks of creatures during the End Times that will be truly horrific, capable of instilling great fear in people.
