The gulf waters churned and bubbled as the dragon stomped toward the shoreline. It blew fire toward the condo and retreated into the ocean.
Streaks of long white contrails marked the sky as the transport jets flew overhead. The contrails had a unique color when the sun rose in the east, merging aurora borealis to the skyline.
Sophia shuffled toward the window to see the flickering green light outside the bay window and spotted the ominous clouds. She hurried to the bathroom, showered, and dressed. Jon was asleep. He had to see the sights. She unlocked the door.
“Jon, Jon, wake up, please!”
He awoke startled as he swung his legs over the sofa’s edge and glanced in her direction. “Is everything okay?”
“The sky is green.” Her face glowed from the shadow of the aurora. She paced back and forth with jerky motions as he glared at her bugged eyes and gleaming face.

The Bible mentions a dragon in the Book of Revelation, but many interpret this as a symbolic image rather than a literal creature. The dragon, described as having ten horns, is often understood to represent ten nations or kingdoms. However, today’s scientists, fishermen, and ordinary people have reported encounters with a mysterious beast emerging from the depths of the oceans near various countries’ coasts.
Scripture also speaks of the Leviathan—an entity that is not merely myth but a tangible creature of the sea, one under God’s authority. Job 41:10-11 describes Leviathan as a real being, emphasizing its existence beyond legend. Revelation 13:1 depicts a beast rising from the sea with dragon-like characteristics, while Isaiah 27:1 references a similar creature.
Scientists have reported sightings of a massive creature lurking in Arctic waters, reinforcing the idea that such beings might exist beneath the surface. According to Hebrew and Talmudic tradition, only one Leviathan remains alive to prevent widespread destruction, and the Bible prophesied that the creature’s defeat will happen in the future, during a time yet to come.
