Excerpt Perfidy, The Debacle Series, Book One
Sirens wailed, and police jetted hovercrafts whirled around our neighborhood. Despite waiting three hours, we received no text or call from the teens. We were frantic and too scared to venture outside the house. Bullhorns blared from military police, with emergency alerts on our wristbands warning residents to stay indoors. The sound of the busy signal greeted us each time we tried calling our neighbors.
At midnight, Jaren called to tell us they were okay. He informed us he had called earlier but received a network busy message.
Relief enveloped me as I listened to their voices, confirming their well-being. Tears slipped over my cheeks, and I let out a sigh as I thanked God for saving our children.
We headed to our bedroom when another sonic boom shook the house. We ran to the living room window. There, we saw the mothership hover and then vanish. My wristband buzzed. I took a deep breath and answered.

As we look upward at the sky, we see several asteroids and comets that are invisible to the naked eye. However, physicists are concerned about the visitors to the sky, especially the new 3I/ATLAS, which has not followed the standard rules of science in the heavens.
The Northrop family in “Perfidy” felt secure until the mothership appeared above. If you’ve ever seen a science fiction movie where a spaceship lands, you’ll recall how unprepared humanity often is for such moments. Are you prepared to welcome an alien encounter?
According to the Bible, celestial signs will appear in the heavens just before Jesus Christ’s Second Coming. I believe that some of these frightening sights and phenomena might be attempts by evil entities—demons—to project illusions to intimidate us. While Father God created countless galaxies beyond ours, humanity remains confined to our home planet—for now. If a spacecraft touches down, it could mislead malevolent entities in disguise, and we must treat such circumstances carefully.
